Our Specialty Beers

Belle-Vue Kriek

Is made by macerating fresh cherries in four-month-old lambic, which gives a burgundy hue and a refreshingly fruity taste to the beer. Served with a large creamy head, its sweetness is balanced by the subtle acidity of the cherries. Alc. Vol. 5.2%.

Chimay Blue Trappist Ale Redcurrent

Fruit and Hops aromas, fruity palate, lingering fruit and sherry notes in finish. Very spicy and will gain port like notes after around five years. Bottle conditioned. Alc. Vol 9.0%

Hoegaarden Grand Cru

Is the noblest beer in the Hoegaarden brewery, with a surprising bouquet and a peachy colour and palate. It is the result of traditional brewing methods where special attention is given to the selection of ingredients, such as Hoegaarden yeast, as well as the time necessary for brewing and fermentation in the bottle. The taste combines sweetness with a hop bitterness that real beer lovers will appreciate. Alc. Vol. 8.5%.

Hoegaarden Forbidden Fruit

Is a claret-coloured speciality beer of rare complexity, brewed according to long tradition in which the secret blend of dark malts, dried orange peel and coriander, along with bottle conditioning, create a tremendously aromatic result. It can be served lightly chilled before dinner or at room temperature afterwards. Alc. Vol. 8.8%.

Duvel

Top fermented strong beer. 'Doovil' means devil in Flemish. The story goes that if you have three of them you will see God. Superb light fruit and hops aroma, pearlike fruit in mouth, long bittersweet finish with developing hops. Bottle conditioned. Alc. Vol 8.5%.

Leffe Blonde

Traces its origins to the Abbaye de Leffe founded in 1152. The abbey monks hand-crafted their own beers according to specific rules of the times, with the majority brewed for their own consumption! Brewing moved outside the abbey walls in the 1800's, though the original recipe and traditions are closely observed. Leffe Blonde is golden in colour, light-bodied with a subtle, dry, clove-like aroma. It has a delicate sweetness with a hint of bitter oranges. Alc. Vol. 6.6%.

Leffe Dark

Also an authentic abbey beer, brewed with roasted malt to provide its full-bodied, slightly fruity taste, and its rich, deep brown colour. It is a medium strength abbey beer, which complements all traditional Belgian meat dishes. Both Leffe Blonde and Leffe Dark are served with a creamy head in a chalice-type glass, continuing the traditions of the monks from Abbaye de Leffe. Alc. Vol. 6.5%.
